Google Panda advice for Zen CartFor those of you interested in Google and trying to keep up with it’s ongoing changes the following Google Panda info-graphic is certainly worth a detailed view

One year ago, Google launched its “Panda Update” which was designed to filter low quality / thin content driven websites from its top search results. In layman’s terms this means if your website doesn’t hold quality content e.g. Your product pages don’t contain quality descriptions about the products or you are not running a blog with quality and regular updated information to support your eCommerce website then Google isn’t liking you!

The following Infographic outlines all of the Panda changes which have been applied over the last year. These changes are continuously updating so now is the time to take now and ensure you website is being updated on a regular basic!

» Two Top Recommendations

Firstly, your number one priority should be to visit your own website to ensure that for each zen cart category listing and product page you have added good quality (FRESH not Copied) content. This is unique content that offers a useful description about your products and services. This may seem a bit overwhelming, especially if you haven’t done this before now, but it will pay back dividends in your rankings very quickly. Remember, to also add keywords within your content that best support your business products.

The second recommendation is to setup a blog (just like we have here) which gives you a place where you can add regular content which not only is of interest to your visitors but is liked by the search engines. Try and add a post on a regular basis be that once a week, fortnight or at least once per month.  If you need any help setting up a blog or even want to work with one of our content writers then please do not hesitate to get in touch! – More info at Zen Cart Social Media Services
